Bio
VICTORIA divided her life between working as a graphic artist and performing as a singer until she decided to fully concentrate on her first love : music.
She is not only a vocalist, she also plays the flute. And kazoo, as can be heard on the title track Hear me Out. Her fascination with harmonies is apparent troughout the album, but probably best illustrated by her performance on songs like Mine, and Under Water.
She is inspired by a wide variety of artists:
Erykah Badu, Janis Joplin, Portishead, Tuck & Patti, The Bellrays.....
JAN LISMONDE
Jan's life changed when he saw "A Hard Day's Night" on TV at age 5. From that moment on, he was certain he would become a musician - and so he did.
Later on he was influenced by Neil Young, The Police, Jeff Buckley, Nick Cave, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age,
just to name a few.
On the album he plays acoustic and electric guitars, as well as bass guitar.
MUSICIANS:
Mario Goosens plays drums & percussion (courtesy of Island Records UK). Mario, arguably one of the better drummers ever to come out of Belgium, has worked with several Belgian bands (Hooverphonic, Triggerfinger), as well as with UK band Winterville.
Stefaan Debevere plays saxophone on the balad A Day Gone By. Stefaan, who is of Belgian origin, lives and works in the Netherlands where he teaches at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
